25 4-A second-team All District during the 2009 campaign PORTALES, N.M. - Eastern New Mexico University head football coach Mark Ribaudo has announced the signing of specialist Michael Cottingham (Hutto, Texas/Hutto HS) to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Hounds beginning in the 2010 season. Cottingham joins a strong recruiting class for ENMU. A punter and place kicker for the Hutto Hippos last season, where he was coached by Lee Penland, Cottingham punted 23 times for 771 yards and a 33.52 average. He also kicked 25 extra points and three field goals, scoring 34 points for the Hippos with a 47-yard field goal. Cottingham was voted 25 4-A second-team All District during the 2009 campaign. The Eastern New Mexico University football team is scheduled to open the 2010 season at home against NAIA powerhouse, Southern Nazarene on August 28th. |
