Freshman brings leadership and experience

Portales, NM—Eastern New Mexico University volleyball coach Kim Falkenhagen has announced the signing of setter/right side hitter Karen McIntyre (Houston, Texas/J. Frank Dobie HS) to national letter of intent to play for the ENMU volleyball team in the 2007 season.

While playing for Joe Sabatell at JFDHS, McIntyre garnered numerous awards including: First Team All District 22-5A as an outside hitter, Academic All District, and Most Improved Player. She helped lead her squad to a runner-up finish at the district championships as a junior and senior, and has served in a captain capacity for multiple years.

McIntyre also played basketball and softball at J Frank Dobie HS, and has championship level experience at the club volleyball level.
